February 12th is our special day, the day we first met. 1966, what a great year that was.

Cards exchanged, red roses delivered and meal out booked. Call me an old romantic if you like (but go easy on the "old"), but she's worth it.

Now I wonder how many lady forum members will be saying to their partners " Mervyn buys Trish roses ". :D

Have a fabulous day all you spoilt girls and if, for whatever reason, you have nobody to spoil you, then spoil yourself.

No cards exchanged, Poinsettia still going from Christmas, Sliced beef in the fridge and jacket potatoe size chosen ready for the good lady to get ready when she gets in from work.

If she's lucky I'll let her open a bottle of spring water to go with it.

I know, I'm just an old softie

No cards exchanged, but, M & S Valentine £20 meal for two purchased…. Himself "cooking" it. Me sitting on sofa with glass in hand. Candles lit. Not bad after 51 years. J

We don't buy cards or flowers, it's not necessary, after 44 years together we know how much we mean to each other. He has taken me to the dentist this morning, followed by a visit to the local Chinese buffet restaurant. Now we are snug and warm in the house, with the wind howling outside. Just watched GB win a sliding on a tea tray Gold at the Winter Olympics. What more could we ask for?

No exchanging of cards, no flowers.

Did treat Lorraine to fish & chips tonight.

Well I thought it was a treat, had to go out when it was raining and blowing a gale outside, drive to the local chippy and wait whilst they cooked 2 haddock and chips, cost me all of £12

I did my usual .. took Julie into a nice card shop .. let her peruse and pick a card ... I then told her to read it and put it back .. saved me £2.40
