You'd be as well getting a Travelcard and going in to the West End. There are some great Chinese restaurants in Gerrard Street

Free prawn sandwiches and flat beer - what else do you want? And silence while someone is taking a kick at goal, please, even if he is Welsh.

Absolutely, Dark Knight. For that, you will get a cold chicken drumstick and a glass of warm Chablis in a tent near the ground. Enjoy !

Certainly did Poster boy
we could have paid more for the full faded Raj, 10 bob ,social climbers cruise, but decided we wanted a holiday not a 2 week bragging cruise. listening to middle England ,telling us how much their house was worth and how many cruises they had done

Re: The Dark one's Rugby jolly
Well said Dark Knight, there's nothing worse than people who brag about money and how much they spend. Your rather quaint quote regarding 10 bob takes me back. Can't beat good old fashioned values.Dark Knight wrote:Certainly did Poster boy

You are also correct about Mervyn and Trish, they present themselves delightfully well, a charming couple.
Perhaps we have more in common than I initially thought. Therefore you may agree that those who disparage tradition say more about themselves than those they denigrate.
Cheers for now.

hard to beat a good disparage about days gone by, so I suppose that speaks volumes about me?
Did you know Merv is the poster boy for P and O cruises, he appears in the literature as the epitome of how to dress on formal night ,and having met him I can confirm he is a rather charming cove and his good lady is elegance personified

Thank you for sharing with us your considered, informed opinion. HK.
Have you watched much rugby, or perhaps you used to play? A hard-tackling centre, I would guess.

Can be a bit unnerving though when you come face to face with their lifesive poster in the photo gallery aboard ship.Dark Knight wrote:Jonty

Watch England thrashing Wales on Sunday and marvel. Don't try to understand it, it's obviously too complex, just enjoy.
