Re: Add a friend
When I first came to this website, I added all the people who kindly requested my friendship on the old site.
One of those has, today, said on one of his postings that he has no cyber-friends here and, on sending him a PM, he says I am not in his list of friends. I had been to the Friends and Foes page, and entered their screen-names into the Add New Friends box - am I supposed to have done something more?

Okay, I've just added you to my friends list. Can you please tell me what's happened at your end?

As far as I can see nothing, have added you to my list and basically that seems to be it.. You show in my list. Perhaps our esteemed leader can advise further when he returns. in the meantime you are my first friend.....

Re: Add a friend
Friends works differently on this site to the P&O site. On this site adding someoneas a friend is basically to make PMlng them easier - as a side benefit you can also see which, if any, of your friends are online. This is a one way thing - if you make someone a friend then they will not see that you are their friend.
Whilst on about friends & foes - if you make someone a "foe" then again they will not know about it and the result will be that any posts that a foe makes you will not see.
