I'm having no sneaky glasses of vino at all, Jo. I'm quite open about my drinking

I think I have been lucky this week and managed a half pound loss. I think I will have a couple of weeks of the diet to try and reset my metabolism. Well that's my excuse and I'm sticking too it. The plan is to stay steady for a couple of weeks then rejoin you all in April until I go Onelifes way in May.

Pleased to hear it Alan which is why I don't mind admitting to having 'just the one' do you have one of those glasses too that hold a bottle

Susan, I think sometimes we do just need a break from it, I know I certainly felt as if I did, the more you deny yourself the more you want it, I found myself craving crisps ( I never eat crisps ) ohhh and cheese, I hadn't eaten cheese for weeks so I had a week of eating whatever I wanted and that seems to have satisfied the cravings.

If ever anyone invents the Cake/Chocolate/Red Wine diet then they will be on to a winner

I used to, Jo, but I never put it to the test. It went to the charity shop unused a long while back.

Now Now DK ...you are just assuming we are all 'porksters'

There are many reasons people want to lose weight and it isn't always to be thinner ( if that makes sense )

I can only speak for myself and I am probably about the right weight I should be for my height and a size 12/14 but that doesn't mean I wouldn't rather be a 10/12 and of course the older we get there are other things to consider which is why it makes sense to eat sensibly, you can jest all you want but believe it or not the support from others on this thread is very encouraging.

Hi pinchers

I have sinned.

You know how much l love my Jelly Babies. Well, l caught one poking it's head out of the packet today. So, as a punishment l ate him. Then l proceded to eat his wife and three children. And now dispite being racked with guilt, l'm thinking of eating their Grandma and Grandad tomorrow.

Keep smiling and stay strong pinchers.

Regards

Keith

I blame Dancing Queen for leading us weaklings astray - that's why I ate 2 ice creams tonight. She said sometimes it helps to have a break from the diet and I took her at her word.

Maureen , 2 ??. As long as they didn't have a chocolate and nut coating and followed by a glass of wine I am quite sure the break in your diet will give you the push to be good tomorrow.

Andrea - I had the chocolate and nut ones yesterday  but I did resist the wine. Luckily no more ice creams in the freezer so I will be good tomorrow.

Hello all,

Had my weigh in on Tuesday and lost 2lb. Pleased with that as I did sin at the weekend. Chocolate, wine and tortilla chips.

Come on folks stay positive...fresh salads will be available soon...

Enjoy Alan

I've got 5 nights 'home alone' coming up this weekend so that will be a diet of junk food, chocolate and wine so I might just decide to forget to post any result

DQ, You have been doing good so don't go backwards. Ditch the junk food and just settle for chocolates and wine. If you are alone no one will be watching the quantity of either.

Ahhh thanks for the confidence Andrea :D

I just hate cooking for myself so know I will have things like cheese/biscuits ( because it's easy ) or something and oven chips

Still at least it is Saturday to Wednesday so I will have a few days to try and redeem myself

Two large portions of chicken curry(?) and rice, pint of hops squash and half a bottle of Chiraz, large slice of Bakewell tart and ice cream. Not to mention extremely good company.

See you on Saturday week!!

Sad to say, I brought a fair bit of last night's delightful nosh back up overnight, so I could still be in the running for a weight loss this week. :( :o
