Re: Sunny Sunday
It has been a wonderful day here on the Isle of Wight. Had a walk this morning and then came home and tackled the garden and cleaned some windows which were not in direct sun. Now totally exhausted and got back ache but it does feel like a good day. My goodness, we have certainly needed some sun.Dancing Queen wrote:What a glorious day it has been
Now debating whether to cut the lawn tomorrow- not sure if it is too early.

If the lawn needs cutting then it is never too early. Apparently in some parts of the country they mow the lawns all year round.

I think we're supposed to be starting our gardens off mid-week. That calls for a garden centre with lunch visit. What a lovely thought.

You lucky people, we did not get any sun yesterday here in our part of Lancashire, it was forecast but never appeared

It was fabulous here, spent all afternoon sitting in the garden. Lawns all cut and neat again.

Re: Sunny Sunday
Lovely weather here in the Costa Del Clacton, and it looks like being warmer today.
Thankfully I could just enjoy it, as our lawn has already been cut twice this year prior to this weekend and the garden tidied.
Saturday was a lovely sunny day, which we spent with our daughter car hunting, our daughters original car having been written off in an accident, following somebody pulling out across a main road in front of her.
Yesterday morning, we went with our daughter to watch our grandson play rugby, and in the afternoon I sat in the garden, and then watched on TV England best Wales 29-18 at rugby, whilst Lorraine accompanied our daughter on a trip out to the Gatwick area, in her new car.

Hi Jo
lt was indeed a glorious day yesterday and it's not to bad today either here on the Warwickshile/ Worcestershire border.
Like others l managed to give the mower its first run out.....what was nice was seeing the butterflys dancing around the garden whilst doing it.
Looks like the ground is coming just right for Third Intention
Regards
Keith

Indeed....we headed to Burscough, then Southport yesterday afternoon and saw about 20 minutes of sun all day.....most of which unfortunately coincided with us sitting in a coffee-shop!cornmillgirl wrote:You lucky people, we did not get any sun yesterday here in our part of Lancashire, it was forecast but never appeared
