Things you feel you have to do.
Today is the day 18 years ago, those precious sweet children died in Dunblane.
I was in South Africa when it happened. I was Chair of Governors at our local primary school and remember phoning the school and asked them to have a full school asembly to say prayers for them and their families. There for the grace of God.
I recently visited the Aberfan Memorial, to pay my respects to all those children and adults who died there.
It was something I wanted to do. But the need to go, got worse the older I got. I feel as if the sad memories of my childhood regarding this have now been put to rest.
We are going up to Scotland in May and I intend to go with to Dunblane with flowers as I in Aberfan, and say some prayers and pay my respects.
Again that need is there.
Sue .

I'll agree with you Sue Spud. When promising lives are snuffed out, the grief doesn't end with the close relatives. That is why remembrance day is such a poignant reminder; we are lucky, we who have managed our three sore years and ten, and it is right that we remember with respect, those who sadly did not.

Hi Sue,
I think it really nice that you choose to pay tribute to those who lost their lives under such tragic cercumstances. I will probably never visit Aberfan or Dunblane but l often think about those poor parent's who lost so much of their own lives on thoses terrible days.
Regards
Keith
