No late signings in or out for us.

Towny is quite right. On league matches the attendance includes season ticket holders, whether they turn up or not whereas only those actually attending count towards the gate. I was surprised more did not go to the Cup match considering your chairman reduced prices to £10. Out of the 10000 we took 4000 along so it was a very low gate. This often happens in the early stages of Cup competitions.

Mob - Messy? That must be the Udinese way of spelling it!!

Yeah, I know they have to count 'no shows' in the attendance....But as a matter of interest how did Leicster get away with publishing their gate of 8589 for their recent match against Middlesbrough....They were getting gate of 22-25 thousand...(I'm not critising that by the way, the weather was atrocious that night and if the game wasn't being shown live on Sky then it would have been postponed, surely.)...but the gate must have been higher than 8500 if they have to count the 'no shows'.

We have signed Kevin Phillips from Blackpool until the end of the season...He must be about 40 by now....Don't see the point of that one...if Blackpool don't want him what can he bring to the Palace....super sub, maybe.

I'm off to learn the words to the 'Super, super Kev, super Kevin Phillips'....song. :D

Signed Steven Dobbie from Brighton as well.

I was amazed that so many home fans actually turned up. You have to remember the context..

1)it was an extra game to pay for (albeit only £10),
2) it was only an early round of the cup,
3)we were playing bloody rubbish,
4)we expected yet another spanking from Leicester
5)Leicester aren't that much of a draw are they?

Credit to Leicester, I was surprised how many came up for the game too.

Kevin Philips ( ex Watford ) .... that is very bad news, he always scores when he plays against us :(

Another ex Hornet in the news is Danny Graham who's off to join the Black Cats, could work out well even though he comes from Newcastle ;)

I doubt Phillips will get much game time at Palace, just like he didn't at Blackpool. He's now the 5-10 minute option at the end of the game if a goal is needed.

Paul, I forgot to mention that in the 2 games against Palace this season I have been well impressed with Bolasie. I assume his emergence is part of the reason that you have let Wilf go to the Scum? He's quite a talent (when he's not on his backside, or rolling around feigning injury).

We play Derby away tomorrow, so hoping to get some more forum bragging rights (over Dark Knight). A win would be welcome, but I'll be happy with an away point.

Our Yannick doesn't roll on the ground feigning injury R.....Like Wilf he is constantly being kicked by big brutal northern defenders fed on raw meat and only let out on match day, because it is the only way they can stop them.

He's just to good for you..He's just to good for you...He's just to good for you..he's just to good for you

Just been reading the news on the club site:
'His Majesty King Bhumibol of Thailand has graciously bestowed the family name ‘Srivaddhanaprabha’ on Mr Vichai Raksriaksorn (former surname), Group Chairman of King Power Group of Companies in Thailand and owner of UK’s Leicester City Football Club'.

I'll have to get that on my football shirt when I find one big enough. Some mouthful that, eh?

I hear that Leicester charge by the letter on shirts...it's obviously a cunning ploy to pay for Beckford and Dann's wages!

There's a bit of a gap opening up in the Championship at the moment with Cardiff, Hull, Watford and Palace all winning but the seven teams below them all losing .... the pressure is back on the Foxes once more 8-)

Saints were winning when I looked. I see they conceded in the last minute.

City will handle the pressure especially now the King of Thailand is a Leicester fan.

A bit of a sickener to lose points in the last minute though.

A good time to salvage a point though. It's at that stage when "Last-Minute-Latics" usually blow it.

Two extremes of emotion Bert. If it's your team there's joy and relief, if it's against you you feel properly stuffed. Can you still get Wigan kebabs down there? - 2 pies on a stick!!

Today's game really was a game of two halves....We were poor in the first half, Charlton were by far and away the better team but could not finish, Palace couldn't have complained if they had gone in at half time losing 3-0, it would have been no more than they deserved but in the second half we were simply awesome, played Charlton off the park and thrashed them 2-1.

Kevin Phillips came on for the second half and although he is about 76 is still a class act....

Yet another ex Palace player scored against us this afternoon.

I'm an Arsenal fan. Was a season ticket holder in the 80's and went home and away.still go every now and then.
Went to the champions lge final in Paris in 2006 and was gutted.

Can't believe how weak our squad is at the moment. Will stop there as I don't want to go into a rant :)

I know, it could be worse, but its the expectation now.

I saw a couple of good games at Filbert Street ...Dennis Bergkamp hat trick to name one.

Happy days standing on the terraces...

I remember that match and the difference between the two teams was Dennis Bergkamp. If I remember correctly we were winning until he struck and his third goal was pure genius. Hopefully you will have fond memories of the scratching sheds!! How times (and ticket prices) have changed!!!

Starting to get a bit more concerned now.

Our next game is at home to Cardiff, so if we get anything from that then it will be a miracle. (Having said that, I bet you could have good odds against a Ipswich win yesterday).

Unfortunately, it seems that all the teams below Town are just beginning to find some form (or points at least), and I'm worried that we're going back from where we came. Can't believe that the likes of Wolverhampton and Bolton will end the season below us, and despite a couple of better performances lately we don't look to have much confidence.
Now it looks like we're going to be short of strikers.... Beckford the show-pony is out for 4-6 weeks, and Novak got a bad kick on his foot yesterday which could be a broken metatarsal. James Vaughan also finished yesterday's match puking in the toilets after having concussion, but I'm hoping he will be ok for next week. That really only leaves Alan Lee, who despite being an effective sub isn't IMO up to a full 90mins these days (and his temprament is well suspect too). I'm guessing that we'll play with Scannel up front (if we decide to play 2 strikers vs Cardiff), but he's really a winger.
