Re: The Budget
£116 for me but i wonder if it would be better to take advantage of the £15000 ISA limit rather than having the money in income bonds?

Re: The Budget
That will depend on what rate you are getting on your income bonds, if there are any penalty charges for withdrawing from them and what rate you can get on an ISA.davecttr wrote:i wonder if it would be better to take advantage of the £15000 ISA limit rather than having the money in income bonds?
With the change in the ISA rules I am not sure which way the rates, and "tie ins", will go - there may be some good deals around to entice people in but tie them into two or more years or they may cut the rates because there is so much money around.
Talking to my financial advisor last year he was saying that with interest rates the way they are at the moment that you should not be tying money up for more than 12 months.

Re: The Budget
not much in it for me
I dont smoke anymore, I dont drink much, I am dam sure I dont play Bingo
I am too young to get a pension or an annuity
I am firmly in the 40% tax bracket and that didnt change
and company car tax is stealthily being increased
so for me a non event

Re: The Budget
It will probably mean even more people will be able to afford the new fashion accessory of a Costa Coffee container glued to their hand while strutting about town. Some may even have coffee in them.
