No married person tax break
Read story here
I am disappointed by this, I thought it was a good idea to help the working person more and assist a stay at home partner. Personally I think married couples should be allowed to complete a single tax return that incorporates both partners tax allowances ... that would really benefit many, especially in the lower earnings brackets.

Re: No married person tax break
It's been held up because many of the Tory back benchers are unhappy about it being linked to same sex marriages and their ability to get the allowances / getting married in a Church. One was in the Manifesto and t-other one regarding gay couples was not yet it is getting priority over other legislation.
.... ish, is it not ?
