With all these expensive promises of free Uni, free broadband, no NHS waiting times and 2 GPs for every patient (OK that's my exaggeration), then surely the Labour party are treating the electorate as illiterate idiots. Because any voter with a modicum of intelligence must realise that these freebies, and the plans to spend hundreds of billions on privatisation, will be impossible to implement. The frightening thing is just what do these Marxists intend to do to have any chance of getting re-elected, because Mcdonnell is not stupid, he must have a plan to ensure they can remain in power, and you can be sure it will not include making us happier or wealthier.

Would you feel secure with a marxist state controlled Internet connection free or not?
Able to access the internet only when permitted by political "leaders" able to intercept all your communications.
1984 may be late but the Corbynistas are catching up

Not according to Diane Abbott. She reckons she can bring it all in for under €35.67.5pence

There is a basic flaw in today's "free" offer and that is that most dentists are now not in the NHS so most people will not be affected.

I must say that I like not the ideas in the Green Party's manifesto.

£100bn a year for the next 10 years to be zero carbon by 2030  Of that £100bn a year borrow £90+bn  Then reduce the voting age to 16 - good plan as many 16 year olds are into environmental issues so they would support the Green Party.

Small problem - I wonder how many of the 16 year olds would realise that they would be repaying over £1 trillion for the rest of their (and probably their children's) lifetime?

It's wonderful what plans you can come up with when there is no possibility that you will ever be in a position to have to enact them!

Glad that I listened to the football.
Gills beat Sunderland to progress to round two and a fixture away at mighty Doncaster.
I'm guessing the debate was same old, same old.

I had it on in the background later on and yes it was the same old same.

Boris would not stop talking and was waffling on about Brexit at every opportunity.

Jezza would not answer any direct question.

The woman "running" it could not control it.

Basically a shambles.

By contrast I accidentally caught part of Farage's QT last night and he was a far better performer despite the fact that most of what he was talking about was rubbish. It was good with the two stooges that had obviously been planted in the audience who were having a good old rant at Nige

I relied on the BBC news to summarise it for me, Laura seemed to consider it a draw, so no major howlers from either leader. Roll on Friday the 13th December when its all over, or is that already an omen that maybe it won't be.

Hi David,

I didn't think Boris or Corbyn performed well but this was mostly due to the presnter who constantly interrupted both of them with her time-out interventions.

The QT format was much better in that it was conducted on a one to one basis, with each speaker being allowed to put their case without interruption.... although it has to be said the presenter failed to hold the speakers accountable for some of the crap they were spouting.....especially that Jo Swinson.
