WHAT! we are still paying the '350 million' each week to the EU after the out vote? SHAMEFUL

I would rather they take their time and make the right decisions rather than rush into anything we might regret later. There's a lot of negotiating to be done to lay the foundations for the future.

My last post on this subject is.

I am sick of hearing the young slating the so called oldie vote to come out and stitching their future up.
All the young people I have spoken to or listened to on media were all talking about how the vote would effect me, me,me.
My vote was for the future and hopefully security of the future generations of the country I love, yes my vote was for you the younger generation of this nation. I would like to think that I like many others of my generation helped to make Britain the wonderful, democratic and prosperous nation you now live in.

Being a retired person living off a pension that I worked hard for 50 years to receive I know times may get tough in the coming years for pensioners and workers alike but as in previous times of turmoil I hope you young ones rise to the occasion as we and our predecessors did before us.

Its time to stop moaning and get on with making a nation to be proud of again.

MY VOTE WAS FOR YOU
One bright little snowflake was interviewed at Glastonbury over the weekend. She was "distraught" at the outcome but admitted she didn't vote in the referendum. She thought she would be able to vote at Glastonbury - "I've brought me poll card and everyfink" !! I'm not sure any of us have a future with idiots like that coming up through the ranks !!
A woman said on another forum that she had wanted to remain, but wanted to be a narrow remain victory.

So she voted leave instead!now she's upset because we are leaving.

It's very disturbing that the result of the referendum was probably decided by the small percentage of idiots like this.
Afraid that's what you get when you let the Great British Public decide something as important as this, Gill !

I guess until article 50 is invoked by Mr Cameron, then yes, as still being members of the EU we still pay, and may well keep paying until we officially detach ourselves from the EU. But I may be wrong, and am happy to be corrected.

That nice mr Osborne has said "things will get worse before they get better"

So - correct me if I am wrong, but a senior Remain campaigner has admitted that things will improve outside the EU ?

I agree, but they've got to make a start some time - why not start now? They can invoke Article 50 or whatever it's called immediately and still take their time making sure all the right decisions are made.

Brilliant cartoon in The Times today; sums it all up for me. Also fabulous article by someone from the civil service saying what a measured calm and thoughtful PM Cameron has been throughout his time in office, while being subject to vitriol from the left and the right.

:( Looking at the body language of Chriss Grayling in the Commons this afternoon, he looks far from triumphant, just the opposite i would think. However he did have the b**lls to attend, unlike Gove and Johnson. :(

Hi Mr Shiney...Once you invoke Article 50 you'll have Schulz, Tusk and Junnker barking at our door to move even faster. They are looking out for there own interests and we must look after ours. It would be foolhardy to put things into motion without giving ourselves enough time to create a firm platform on which to start the transition.

Keith

Dave has already said that he'll leave the pleasure of invoking article 50 to his successor, and I can't say I blame him really, as he didn't want to leave the EU in the first place.

It's been announced that the new PM will be in place by the start of September. No doubt the new PM will need to get their feet under the table before they start invoking anything, and if it's Boris, he's said there's no rush anyway!

It could be years before anything happens, if it ever does. I reckon with all the back pedalling going on, they'll try and politick themselves out of the mess instead of actually leaving the EU

Corbyn must have skin thicker than a rhinoceros if he thinks he'll have any chance of forming the next government with the ramshackle shadow cabinet he has been forced to put together. If he truly has the best interests of his party at heart then he should throw in the towel...If he doesn't then he will send the labour party to the same graveyard as Clegg took his party too.

I agree with GillW. I also hope that someone other than Boris Johnson gets to lead the Tories, and I hope Labour get a moderate realistic leader. Either that or the Left of the Tories and the Right of Labour join forces to form a new moderate party. It will get my vote, these extremes of politics always seem to be full of "nutters".

Just supposing there was another referendum (thereby sticking two fingers up at due democratic process) and that too gave Brexit the majority....

Would there be a demand for a third referendum?

I think buffoon Boris is a lot more astute than the image he portrays.

Using their undoubted charisma and duplicity I am fully confident that Bojo Gove and Farage will forge a wonderful deal for the UK staying within the EU

I might have missed something along the way - but, I thought that there had to be the usual process of getting it through Parliament before sending the notification about leaving. If that is the case, what if it doesn't get through Parliament? Yes, I know that the 'people' voted for it, but Parliament might have a different vote result. What then I wonder?

If he threw in the towel he might have time to sort out his front garden. Every time I see him on the news coming out of his house, it looks a right old mess
