Re: Football 20/21
I take it you don't like Palace MoB. I can understand that given our two recent games at Wembley. I don't care who wins, never have, but I do hope for a good game, well refereed, a good atmosphere and no VAR controversy. I've been disappointed to often just lately.
Up the Palace

Re: Football 20/21
No bad vibes about Palace, been there many times over the years but I am deffo anti diving ... on that note I see that one Anthony Knockart was sent off today for doing just that, he also has history at Watford of course.

Bad one for us. I feel a tenner wasted.
No effort in the first half.
Better in the second but didn’t deserve anything.

Re: Football 20/21
Drowning my sorrows in merlot, our manager obviously thought we were going to lose, so rested 6 of our players.
So his assumption proved 100% accurate.

Re: Football 20/21
We owe it all to Watford, a bad error from Foster for the first, then a clever sliced own goal from Capoue, then our young goalkeeper played a blinder.

He was out of his depth, we were way overdue for a mew manager anyhowz
Well done the Terriers, you played a blinder winning 2:0 without having a shot on target
ps ... it's only a game

I haven't watched the highlights yet but my youngest son said that Watford played some very good football, but we had all the luck.Manoverboard wrote: 20 Dec 2020, 10:24He was out of his depth, we were way overdue for a mew manager anyhowz![]()

I suspect the sacking has much more to do with him falling out with Deeney, rather than his coaching ability. Anyway that should sentence you to at least another season in the Championship.

He didn't know his best team due to umpteen injuries plus Covid etc, his training methods were Draconian and the players were playing without a smile. Other than that he was doing a grand job

Re: Football 20/21
My next prediction is that his successor will not see the season out.
They will probably announce yet another nobody from a nothing league.
Nigel Pearson is the obvious choice in my opinion but maybe he is too big a personality for the Hornets board.

Re: Football 20/21
Cant believe no-one has posted about the Shots 5 - 1 away win yesterday - at Welwyn Garden City in the FA Trophy - Wembley here we come!!
No live streaming so had to make do with radio commentary.
Living 200 yards into Surrey we're now in Tier 4 whereas the football club 1 mile away is Tier 2 Hampshire! Up to March 2020 I went to all games home and away - cruises permitting. The farthest journey was Carlisle on a Thursday night. We lost a playoff semi final after penalties and our coach broke down on the way home. We saw the dawn whilst waiting at the services - happy days!!
Wishing everyone a very happy Christmas, whatever the circumstances and hopefully there will be vaccines in sight early the new year.

Well done the Shots!! A good away win.
Dead chuffed with our result against the Spuds which has put us into 2nd place in the Prem. We were as good today as we were poor against Everton.

Do you know Foxy I was only saying to Pauline that Leicester continue to baffle me, one day they are world beaters and the next they look clueless. However Everton do seem to have hit top gear again in the last couple of weeks.oldbluefox wrote: 20 Dec 2020, 16:21Well done the Shots!! A good away win.

Re: Football 20/21
It baffles us too. We never know which team will turn up. How do you fathom we knock five past Man City and then lose to Fulham? Keeps us on our toes and our feet on the ground.towny44 wrote: 20 Dec 2020, 16:26
