Football 20/21
For those of us who are interested in the beautiful game.
Gills season kicks off tomorrow at 1.00 pm with a Haribo Cup game against Sarfend.
Streamed live which is brilliant for us exiles.
The league starts next Saturday against former Premier big boys Hull.

We have a possibly notso friendly at Vicarage Road vs the Spurs ... streaming at a tenner a time is maybe a step too far although it's only a fiver for tomorrows game.

1-0 in the Haribo Cup to the Gills.
Wasn’t that great tbh but a 10 man win is ok by me.
Hopefully draw the miighty Hornets in the next round. Usually do ok

Re: Football 20/21
Wasted two hours of my life watching a clueless England being frustrated by Iceland.
The early afternoon was spent watching City huff and puff to gain a draw in an uneventful friendly against Blackburn.

He’s recovering from ACL injury and should be back soon.
Hopefully he’ll perform as well as before and we’ll get our sell on clause.

No I didn't hear his name mentioned. There was a lot of young players on display on both sides. He might not be ready yet (you'll be having to wait for your sell on clausebarney wrote: 06 Sep 2020, 11:54Did Dack come on for Blackburn?

If Icelands goalie had stayed put he could easily have collected Sterlings weak back pass.barney wrote: 06 Sep 2020, 11:52

It was the most exciting bit!!!! I would not have been disappointed had Iceland got the draw, England were so drab and lacking in ideas. At least I would have had an excuse to call it a bore draw.

The Hornets are away to Oxford United in the second round of the Carabao Cup, if they win then we visit Newport County or Cambridge United in the third round .... round four perhaps ?barney wrote: 05 Sep 2020, 21:511-0 in the Haribo Cup to the Gills.

Wolves or Stoke for us after disposing of Coventry.
Last time I went away to Wolves we were 5-0 down at halftime

Info required about Championship Footy on the Telly, please
So far I have located 15 minute highlights for every game being played this coming weekend on Sky
Do they do the same for mid-week games and is there a ' Match / Goals of the Day ' equiv for us non Prem types ?

Re: Football 20/21
Last season Quest channel did an EFL show very late on Saturday night and repeated on Sunday morning.
It mainly focussed on the championship but unless your team is in the featured game, you’ll get five minutes of highlights.
Your club will be streaming every game live until fans are allowed back in. You download the Ifollow app and open an account.
It’s £10 per game which is great value given the attendance price.
A major proportion goes to your club giving them some revenue.

Re: Football 20/21
If you have Sky Moby, then you can use the search facility to see when Wayfords highlights are on, and use it to record the highlights or download them from the catch up feature. I believe that some obscure freeview channel now have the highlights feature on Saturday night.Manoverboard wrote: 08 Sep 2020, 09:12Info required about Championship Footy on the Telly, please![]()

Re: Football 20/21
My 15 min EFL Highlights are on the SkyFootball HD channel and are all set to record Sunday afternoon. Will kick off watching all the 15 minute slots but will probably trim them back to include Watford, Bournemouth and Norwich only for starters but then adjust them as the season proceeds.towny44 wrote: 08 Sep 2020, 11:50If you have Sky Moby, then you can use the search facility to see when Wayfords highlights are on, and use it to record the highlights or download them from the catch up feature. Quest are also broadcasting as Barney suggested ... and yes I did know about the search ' Watford ' option on SKY.

Re: Football 20/21
What an example to our young people are some of the England footballers. These are people at the top of the ladder, having been given the chance to represent their country and they blew it. I don't care if we never see them in an England shirt again for a long, long time. Let's play those who know how to follow rules and can represent England with honour instead of doing their best to shame us.
