i-pads Do Not Bounce!

I don't have an I-pad or phone, I have a bog standard mobile phone which is just that (though it does have a camera). It's almost 10 years old now, and is solidly built. As it happens, I did drop it (not for the first time) on a quarry tile floor yesterday: - but while it didn't bounce particularly high, it is still in one piece and full working order.

An update on the non bouncing i-pad.

Had a phone call this afternoon (yes that's right - Sunday afternoon) from the people wot is dealing with this to say that the poorly i-pad is no more and will have to be replaced.

We will be receiving a voucher for Currys/PC World for a replacement within the next few days.

David - if it was company called DVS that called you about the repair, it was probably the same that dealt with ours. We were very impressed with the quick response and like you we then received a Currys/PCWorld voucher the next day after the phone call.

Update number 2

Voucher (well actually it was a card) arrived in the post at lunchtime, been down to Currys and "new" i-pad set up with data restored from i-cloud and it is as if nothing has changed - Mrs63 is a happy bunny
