There are "road safety" posters going up around Bristol recommending that cyclists ride in the middle of the road... The state of roads round here is so poor that the centre of the lane is often the safest place to be - small wheels and potholes make for a bruised jacksie :o

Anyway, to please Stephen, I shall continue....

Women who think it acceptable to get their mammary glands out to feed their baby in public. My DIL breastfeeds her baby in public, but she first puts a large modesty shawl on so that no-one can see anything.

People who burn tobacco at bus stops, usually underneath the prominent sign which says it is against the law.

As we are on a roll, and this has happened to me today.

Bl**dy companies that insist you answer a string of automated push button and verbal questions before putting you through to another department who then shove you on hold.........at 10p a minute :x

... not being able to see the face of the cold caller on the phone, when having told me what company he works for, I then ask him to confirm the address I've just looked up on the web and advised him that, as he's phoned a TPS-protected number, he's now liable for a fine of half a million pounds. :sarcasm: :sarcasm:

.Suespud, Cold strawberries.?? I usually eat them straight from the garden so have never tried cold ones. I have them with whipped double cream or dipped in hot melted chocolate so I might not have noticed.

Which is, for some reason, quite acceptable, but when the bloke starts using the wife's... "darling, we need to have a talk"

Sorry to hear about your bad day Keith. I did notice a big black cloud over your village as I drove past yesterday. Perhaps what happened next will make you laugh. We had been for a pleasant lunch at a village craft centre not far from you. Because my bedroom TV had packed in, we decided to head for that large town quite near you to buy a replacement TV. Because the streets in that town are somewhat confusing I had been on Google Earth the night before to check location and route to Currys (stop laughing)! So we gaily drove on past your aforementioned black cloud and duly arrived at the correct location, only to find a building with a big TO LET sign on the outside! This didn't go down too well with DH. We had no idea where Currys had moved to, so left the dreadful town as fast as possible. I then ordered the TV online from someone else.

Yes Shirley, I believe it is a bit rough around that area. You done well to get out of town without being mugged.
If it isn't bolted down it walks, you dare not stop at traffic lights for fear of losing your wheels while waiting for them to turn green. I see someone has even pinched the 'I' out of the TO LET sign. Is nothing sacred any more :)

Why when I say I am going to mow the lawns does SWMBO decide to place her sun lounger in such a position as to block the way?

Hello Shirley,

Firstly, nice to see you making an appearance after what seems quite a long time...hope you are both keeping well.

This must be a coincidence because we were stood outside the now vacant Curry's on Sunday.

As you will have noticed that dark cloud has been replaced with glorious sunshine today. Btw did you notice my hanging baskets on passing? Not at thier best yet but give it a few weeks and they'll look blooming lovely.

Agree with your view of our town but living in two lovely villages dose have its bennifits. Just to balance things out a little, l do think we have some lovely parks to walk round, and l think you'll agree with me when l say our town highways have been well planted up which gives a very green feeling to our town.

The one thing l do like about our town is the way they deal with repeat offenders...shipping them down to gods own country "down souf" has to be a good move in my book, espesially so as they get to meet most of their relatives.... have you noticed how our criminals show a striking resemblance to Stephen.... dark glasses, bold head etc?

Just to reasure you, no money exchanged hands during my unfortunate encounter with Stephens relatives.

Happy viewing,

Regards

Keith
