Well that's a blow. I heard she loved Britannia so assumed she was a P&O fan. Now it turns out she's a Fred Olsen girl all along! :sarcasm:

Well guys and galls, I'm sure that you have all been waiting with baited breath for the travelling scribbler, based way up hear in the north of "Jockland", to impart his bit of rhetoric!! So please contemplate this: :sarcasm:
Why should our wee Lizzy decide to spend such a historic day, accompanied by "Mrs Krankie", in the beautiful Scottish Borders instead of being surrounded by her English sycophants. Could it possible be that like her great, great grandmother she just prefers, Scotland, the Scottish people and our traditions than those south of the border?
Well we all know the Queen loves Balmoral and from what I read she was at Balmoral on Holiday and did not want any fuss or celebrations, she just wanted a quiet day and dinner with family

She was advised because of the significance of the occasion she should make a public appearance, it was just convenient the opening of the railway line was due, and being as she was going to be at Balmoral it would be ideal. The decision was not really hers it was decided for her.

It's interesting that a lot of members of Mrs Krankie's party want Scotland to break all ties with the queen.

Anyway the real celebrations are going to be down south in the early part of next year to celebrate the Queens 90th birthday, then there really will be a celebration, not the opening of a little branch line.

That little Branch line don'tch ya know is extremely picturesque ... so give it a thought if you are at one end of the line or t'other.

ps ... it may even have a ' By Appointment .... " emblazoned on it.
Keep smiling, it's good for your well being
