The Labour party tried, and failed, to dump Jeremy, and the Republicans seem to be steeling themselves to try and ditch Donald, but probably fear a voter backlash in the House and Senate.
Interesting times we live in, what with continued Brexit rumblings in Parliament as well.

It's the worst of both and best of neither. I did suggest albeit a bit 'tongue in cheek' to an American friend that their best option was to approach the UK Gov't, 'cap in hand', and request to be re-instated as a British colony.
I suppose though, at the end of the day, anything but Trump!

Unfortunately I don't believe there is an alternative and from TV reports a few days ago it would appear it is too late now for anyone else to enter 'the race' so it looks as if it will be one or the other .. are either of them 'fit' to be President of the USA ?? imo NO
but what do I know

"the shackles are off" - is he now planning on running outside party lines as an independent?

Whatever Porkies the Clinton side may be telling, they're at least more believable than those coming from the pro-Trump faction.

It's a worry and that's a fact. I am not a Hilary Clinton fan by any stretch, but Trump as President is unthinkable.

I agree Trump is totally megalomaniacal, and I don't know enough about Hilary Clinton to make a judgement. I know she is getting slated for her husband's behaviour with women. What is it about these testosterone fuelled egotistical men that they think they can treat women the way they do? They need to work for a few of them, like I have. They might show a bit more respect then.

Never mind the American politics, what about our own government ?, we had a Prime Minister who spat his dummy out when the vote went against him leaving a party that can't decide what to do about Brexit and the main opposition party are all arguing about whose yard they are going to play in.

At last the Gruesome Twosome seem to be talking about policies they want to implement. Haven't they left it a bit late in the day for that?

Not really Alan, the average American only has a short attention, and retention, time span, so if you start too soon they will have forgotten come polling day.Silver_Shiney wrote:At last the Gruesome Twosome seem to be talking about policies they want to implement.
