Donald or Hilary who do we prefer?
Having exhausted the discussion, so far, on Brexit or Remain I thought it might be interesting to guage the forum members views on who would be their preferred next President of the US (POTUS) and why.

A choice between Clinton, who has proved herself to be totally incompetent, or Trump, who is a bit of a joke candidate where some people did not see the joke (a bit like Corbyn) ... I feel sorry for America.

A country of 320 million and these two are the "best" available to run the country.
It is indeed a frightening prospect
God bless America ?

Whoever is affiliated or a member of the Skull and Bones Club will be appointed. My money's on La Clinton.

it might not be just America that is doomed, these are the sort of people who will /could take the world to the brink of a global catastrophe on a weekly basis
Can you imagine Trump negotiating with Russia, China and the Middle east??
Clinton is in it to make history as the first women president and then to do as her husband does and rake in millions when she retires/resigns or is impeached
this is a worrying time for the whole planet

If it wasn't such a serious matter, yes I could imagine it, I could do with a good laugh...Dark Knight wrote:Can you imagine Trump negotiating with Russia, China and the Middle east??
At least she won't have to hire specialist cigar holders....Dark Knight wrote:Clinton is in it to make history as the first women president and then to do as her husband does and rake in millions when she retires/resigns or is impeached

I watched Trump live on CNN last night and he is mad as a box of frogs.
To be fair, he did make me laugh a few times though, particularly the way he deals with hecklers.
He genuinely doesn't give a monkeys about the political class which is quite refreshing.
On the other hand, he doesn't come across as the full shilling.
As for Clinton, not sure what she brings to the table.

I hope it stays funny when Trump is telling Russia, China , Korea and the Middle east what to do, just before they cut off the oil and reduce the whole western world's economy back to the middle ages. I am sure it will be a right laugh

NEITHER! I see him as a fool who selects his words unwisely, and I see her as a woman who can't even manage her husband let alone the USA!
Best idea - split up the USA, make it a number of independent (but cooperating) countries, a bit like the eu. Then offer some of those new countries the opportunity to become colonies of the UK. Peace.
If Trump got elected as President, could you imagine him at a state occasion in Buck House?

I voted Clinton because I don't think A.N.Other will be on the ballot paper and Trump is insane. But he may get it if Americans have had enough of the Democrats. Same reason we could yet end up with Corbyn.

Never mind about Russia et al dealing with Trump, what about Corbyn dealing with Trump. (come to that what about Corbyn dealing with anyone)

Re: Donald or Hilary who do we prefer?
It's a scary thought, that Trump could be president - but I think it could happen.
We did a few excursions in the US on our recent cruise, and a couple of the tour guides ( who seemed quite sane) seemed to prefer a Trump presidency to a Clinton one

They don't have much choice do they. Rock and hard place come to mind. It's either the unpredictable and outrageous Trump or Screaming Power Mad Mrs Clinton. What a dilemma.

I imagine that Jeremy Corbyn will be hoping for a Trump victory, just to prove to everyone that it is possible for someone who is said to be unelectable to win a general election.
