Re: Frequent login request
Hi all - I’m in Rhodes today and have had to sign in each place I visit unlike at home when I rarely do so. It is a bit slower but I’m not paying for wifi - I’m on 02 so using my data when I use phone. Flippin hot here today but coping as one does

Re: Frequent login request
Had to login again this morning but this time i thought I would show these requests before i have to log out and in again.
Another quirk, and it maybe it's to do with my iPad, but when I tap 'log out' nothing happens so I have to tap 'log out' a second time to finally log out so I can log back in again.

I can't get on this site on my Iphone at all.
It's fine on the PC but I don't turn this on everyday.

Re: Frequent login request
Today is login, login, login on my phone at home, while for the last three weeks when I was roaming not a single time.
But like you never an issue on the PC, and that connects at home via the same router.
Never mind. I'm sure all will return to normal soon.

Re: Frequent login request
This morning the response times were very slow, but they have improved during the day, and I have had no sign on issues.

Back to old login problem.
Every day I am having to either log out and in again before I can open posts or like a moment ago automatically logged out.

I have admitted defeat with Chrome, and now log into this site (and it's only this site with problem) using Edge. So far I have not been logged out. It is still very slow in loading and changing topics and pages etc.

Re: Frequent login request
I had a run of login requests a week or two ago but no problems this week. And never ever on my PC. Only on phone or occasionally tablet.

Re: Frequent login request
Same here.
And this is the notice I get that plaques me each time. Only on my iPad though. And where is the elusive 'cookie policy' I'm asked to accept?
If I click OK nothing happens.

I've never had that one but don't use an iPad. I've had a run of login requests but not in the last two or three days.

Stephen, I occasionally get that message and couldn't find the cookies, I just click on 'Port' and I'm in.

I’ll try that next time Ray. But why does it continuously happen?

Re: Frequent login request
The last few days I am being asked to Login every time I return to the site. I use Firefox on my phone for cruise community and leave it open when I switch to Chrome for general browsing.

Wifi, but it is superfast fibre, so maybe a bit too speedy for your ancient website.david63 wrote: 25 Jun 2025, 16:14Are you using wi-fi or mobile data on your phone?towny44 wrote: 25 Jun 2025, 15:47The last few days I am being asked to Login every time I return to the site. Perhaps it's not as fast as you think and it can't keep up with the modern websitetowny44 wrote: 25 Jun 2025, 18:02Wifi, but it is superfast fibre, so maybe a bit too speedy for your ancient website.
I cannot think of any reason why this should be happening to you - I use fibre broadband on both desktop and phone, both with Firefox, without any issues.
