And on the subject of our friends north of the border:-oldbluefox wrote: 01 Jul 2021, 14:55I get fed up hearing people run our country down. Nobody forces anyone to live here. Feel free to leave.Ray B wrote: 01 Jul 2021, 14:11
Well said Foxy, a man after my own heart. English and proud of it.
Pity more respect is not shown for the United Kingdom and here I refer to North of the border.![]()
On the subject of our friends north of the border it always amuses me that they won a fight 400 years ago and are still singing about it. It does seem a strange anthem.

Sour grapes. And as if we’re bothered what they think.

Re: Football 20/21
I always used to want Scotland to win, when England were not involved, but since the SNP got into power it seems to have stirred up the distrust between the 2 countries, and the increased Scots dislike of Englands football team has made me feel far more negative about any Scottish sports team.

The Hornets are hoping to sign two players from Scotland, one from Aberdeen and t'other from Hibs so I intend to be friendly towards their team.

Bit of a sore head this morning
It’s coming home
What a difference when the team actually attack at pace.
Can’t wait for Wednesday

The top league is a big job for a rookie, but some do ok for a little while.
Like all of the 'also rans' Palace are just a few games away from relegation.
The best that can happen is simply staying up.
We already know who will be competing at the top and who will be fighting at the bottom.
It's not really a competition ,is it?
Who will win the Championship ?
No idea - one of ten or twelve
Who will win league one?
No idea - one of about fifteen
Who will win league two?
No idea - anyone of them.
Real competition is outside of the top league.
