Are you like me paying for land line phone calls, when if your broadband router has a phone socket, you could get them for free. A quick phone call to Sky and I cancelled my Sky Talk Anytime costing £13.50 per month and now have all my land line calls via the internet.
There are minor differences, your emergency call button, if you have one, might not work, so check with your supplier. You will need to add your local area code to any local numbers in your phone directory or any you dial yourself, and if you have a power cut the phone wont work, but most of us have mobiles anyway.

We have kept our landline because my wife has not found a mobile handset she likes, and now that its free I imagine we will keep it.

I've dumped my landline too, you can also use Wifi calling on your smartphone which is handy for pay as you go users, especially when calling premium 0845 numbers and the like.
