It's Snowing!

Unread post by Onelife »

I think we are getting what the North are/were expecting. Heavy snow presently with an accumulation of 7cm thus far. We are predicted to have another 3 hours of snow so it could be interesting by this afternoon.

Snowing here too in south east Wales - glad I returned yesterday by train from my son’s up in north west England - had a lovely long weekend celebrating my granddaughter’s graduation.

He sent me photos last night of the snow - quite heavy in Billinge - I’d rather be snowed in at home

Hi Jan, I love attending graduations, it’s a proud moment for all concerned.

My Wife was/is going across to Aberystwyth tomorrow but is now considering going by train, this will entail a 4-hour journey time as opposed to 2 hours by car…snowing there but not settling so our daughter tells us.

You can keep your snow up in the back woods.

I'd rather have the rain, which we are currently getting.

Not a flake up here in tropical Cumbria. It's quite a nice day, 🌞 shining.

Why do schools have to close at the first sign of snow? Never used to close in my day!

My wife said we’ve got to leave the Aga on, “what for” I said? So, the dog doesn’t get cold, she replied …now that’s what I call two “Snowflakes”

Only for those rich people who have six dogs and three cats to keep warm…our Aga is an “all electric”.

We have glorious sunshine in North Devon.
Just back from a decent long walk and brunch at Fremington Quay.
Being on the coast, we rarely get snow although we did have three frosts last winter.
Brrrrrrrr !!

It came with the house, but still cost us £5,500 which would be £5,300 more that what you paid for your cheap Creda cooker

Is snow something new or am I missing something. You would think so with all the publicity its been getting all week. The news has been harping on about the bl**dy snow up and down the country as if its some new phenomenon. It happens every year, get over it and deal with it.

If it snowed mid summer then I might think it a bit strange, otherwise its what you expect this time of year.
