It had better not interfere with the Italian GP.

And don’t forget your life jacket, and in Merv’s case, the single malt.

Obviously thought we could cope up here or they didn't bother cos I got nothing. Did I miss much?

Re: Emergency Alarm Test
Nope, but the message did say I had been chosen for a place in the government bunker.
I refused of course. Knowing my luck the bailiffs would be round to reposes because of unpaid tax.

I was on the phone at the due time, No alarm received or subsequent message. Not showing on "Alarm History" either.
So don't make any calls if you're anticipating an unexpected emergency to arise.

Clophill, handy if you have predictive anticipatory activity (PAA).
Don't worry, be happy

I missed it foxy, but maybe that was down to my phone being in the garage as I popped up to the house.oldbluefox wrote: 07 Sep 2025, 15:09Obviously thought we could cope up here or they didn't bother cos I got nothing. Did I miss much?
I did hear it on Sarah's phone, but on checking mine, the message had gone, which seem strange, as in a real emergency I would still have got the message even if ,as I said, I was somewhere out of earshot the signal.

I wouldn’t worry too much about it Ray. You’ll know something's amiss when the missiles start raining down.

They probably think up here we've only got sheep and squirrels so not worth wasting the energy.
Don't tell Keefy about the sheep. You know what he's like

To those who didn't get the Alert - be aware that it only got sent to 4G and 5G phones.

I got it while watching the Grand Prix, I was expecting it but it still made me jump! I'm not a Max fan so wasn't that thrilled with the result.

No nor me! You notice that when he wins it's because he's a genius, when he loses it's the fault of the car, the team, the weather, the stewards or whatever. Not him.CaroleF wrote: 08 Sep 2025, 11:35I got it while watching the Grand Prix, I was expecting it but it still made me jump! I'm not a Max fan so wasn't that thrilled with the result.

Re: Emergency Alarm Test
How could it ever be Max's fault! I think he's so arrogant. I'm happy if Piastri or Norris wins, but not Max, not that I think he'll win the Championship this year. I hope Ferrari get themselves sorted out by next year. Time is obviously of the essence for Lewis and I'd really love him to get that Championship he should have had several years ago now.

Agree 100%. He was robbed by a corrupt or incompetent race director. The RD got fired so I've never understood why the result stood.
