I Don't Believe It!!!!!

Unread post by david63 »

Was in Tesco this morning and guess what? Easter eggs were on sale

Easter is not for another four months.

Also Valentine's cards were also on sale

I bet next week they will have Halloween and fireworks on sale!

Poundland in Norwich had them on the shelves before Christmas.
They were celebrating his death before he was even born. :o

And while we keep buying these goods well in advance (not me) they’ll keep pushing them out.

Unless the country boycotts these stores, and that’s never going to happen, it’ll never change.

Very true Stephen. If people didn’t buy them it would be a waste of time and space stocking them so early.
Personally I think Easter eggs are a rip off. You pay over the top for large fancy packaging and inside is a thin shell of chocolate with a few chocolates inside. Same goes for boxes of chocolates nowadays, big fancy boxes but inside it’s all plastic packaging with a few chocolates dotted here and there. Gone are the days of smaller boxes packed tightly with chocolates. Must cost more in transport too carting half empty boxes of air around.

I think it’s one of OL’s betting expletives. He uses it quite frequently. 👍😂

It’s surprising how early stores start putting seasonal items on sale. Easter is still a few months away, yet they are already promoting products for it. Last year, I noticed similar patterns with other holidays as well.

We buy hot x buns year round, because we prefer them to plain current teacakes. So I am more than happy to see them always available.

It must have taken you all but two minutes to set up…but appreciated by all who have/will receive them, I’m sure ;) :)

It’s getting ridiculous now. Feels like shops just roll straight from one holiday to the next without a pause. Easter eggs before we’ve even shaken off Christmas is a bit much 😄 Might as well keep them up all year at this rate!
