Good luck marathon runners.
Wishing the very best of luck to all those running in the London Marthon, including our second daughter Caroline. This is her first time running London, although she has completed 5 marathons around the world already and automatically qualified for this one because of her previous good times. And she's only 5' with size 2 1/2 feet!
Let's hope everything goes smoothly and that nothing happens like Boston, or last year's London run when poor Claire Squires lost her life.
Good luck and stay safe everyone.

Good luck indeed to Caroline and all those who have trained for so long just for this day. Millions will be raised for various charities and good causes and I hope all get round safely.
There will be a few sore legs and sore feet tomorrow.

GillD46, I am sure your Daughter running in London today makes it extra special. Hope she achieves the time she has set herself and her feet don't suffer too much. ! The weather seems reasonable so hope everyone taking part today has fun. Like yourself, I hope nothing takes place to spoil the day.

Well, Caroline finished in 3h 41m. A little slower than her last three marathons, but training was severely hindered by all the awful weather in London.
One relieved mum here!

That's about 7mph and sounds pretty good to me, Gill, especially for one with little legs and little feet.
Well done Caroline.
