Removal men

Unread post by Dark Knight »

at 07.00 this morning, 4 burly fellows appeared to pack the batcave in preparation for our move North
so far they have emptied 2 bedrooms and half the sitting room
I cannot believe how quick and efficient these chaps are

the saddest thing is that our whole life will be in a van in less than 7 hours :(

so far they are on brew number 2 and are due a fag break soon :D

Are you sure that they are removal men and not those from the house clearance company who will be taking it all to the tip

Maybe they're being paid a bonus by the nieghbours to get you out of there as quickly as possible !

Alternatively, they could be imposters having it away with all your worldy goods....

Well if they're over 65 they have to supplement their meagre subsistence somehow. ;)

Good luck with the move, you must have strong reasons if you're going oop north.

DK, I hope everything runs smoothly for you on your move to the civilised North of the country away from the dog eat dog rate race that is the rest of the UK, but mainly I hope that your laptop survives the journey and that there will be an immediate and fast broadband connection awaiting you as you arrive.

Good luck with the move, hope all goes well, we've done it many times and it never seems to get any easier, good removal men are a godsend though.

The only way to get away from the dog eat dog rat race in the UK is to move to the lovely IOM where we have a peaceful and idyllic existence. However we are fussy who we let in over here :D
HK don't give that avatar to DK. I WANT IT

Dear Forumeers,

This time tomorrow Soiled Nightie will be a fellow Hullensian.

Thankfully I live in west Hull and Bat Boy is moving to east Hull and the River Hull lies between us. Wish me luck...I have a busy night ahead of me...I have six bridges to demolish.

Regards

Rob, I understand you are going round to the new cave to replace the fencing. Please remember that bats can fly, so after you've put the fencing UP, you'll need to carry on OVER.

I used to wonder why ex cons worked for the removal firms but then I realised that it must be the easy pickings as hardly anybody can be arsed to write out a full inventory tea chest by tea chest.

Good luck but don't bother with an insurance claim unless you have photographic proof of every last one of your possessions, ex or otherwise. There is a time limitation for claims by the way but a week after the expiry you will be saying to Lady Dark ... " Now where did I put my .... "
