Lovely people....

Unread post by JenniC »

If anyone ever doubted the value of this forum (although it started on the old one) then read this. I have just come home from a very busy day and in very heavy snow, got soaked walking from carpark and was pretty fed up. Outside my door was a box from Moonpig???? Not from my OH I thought and duly opened it to find a wonderful bunch of brightly coloured tulips and a personalised card showing a Caribbean beach - with the message you will soon be on here. So why am I posting this...

... Because it was from Dot and Chris aka Mrs007 (and Mr) who I may never of met if it had not been for the group set up by the MM for Ventura's Grand Event cruise and the community meet in Metropolis. I now have a friend for life and I am very lucky. So thank you P&O, thank you Dot and Chris, thank you Derek ( if you ever come on here to see this), thank you David for setting up a temporary home for all of us and thanks to all of you for making it a great forum. Roll on 1st Feb - Barbados here we come :) :D :D :D

Hi jenniC

You don’t have to read too many of Mrs 007 posts to realise what a nice person she is.

Have a lovely cruise.

Regards

What a lovely gesture and I for one can say that this is not the first time that this has happened as a result of being on a forum or meeting people on a cruise.

When times were really low, health wise, a while back, I received a beautiful bouquet of flowers on my birthday from friends on here, some I had met and some I had not.

I am glad that it brightened up your day Jenni. Some friends you meet on a cruise really are for life.

Mrs 007 that was a very kind and wondefrul gesture.

We can verify that we have made some friends for life via Cruising. Last year in particular, another board member and myself, kept each other sane whilst our Husbands were both incapacitated. Fortunately, we do not live too far away from each other and were able to help each other even more.

There are some fantastic people around.

Good Morning

I know a nice lady, never met her, just got to know her through posting on CC

Three times she has left me a litre bottle of Bells at the Tivoli BO on her return journey after cruising

Sadly she has not found her way to this forum

How nice is that ?

How lovely Jenni - and how lovely to find such good friends via the forum.

We have also found good friends the same way & a few of us are meeting up in May for a group reunion. These forums are invaluable for an enjoyable holiday & hopefully lasting friendships so well done again to David63 for coming forward in our hour of need!

Jenni, it's my turn to say a great big THANK YOU for the lovely animated Panda Get Well Care2 e-card, that was so cheery and brought a great big smile to my face. As you said in your opening post, without the forum we all may never have met and become friends, so many thanks again to both of you Jenni and Steve, I am truly touched. :D

Jenni, I hope you explained to Mrs007 that bribing moderators may be frowned on by some but positively encouraged by moderators :-)

A very nice gesture indeed. 8-)
