Alexander is an excellent choice. I am married to an Alexander!! I think the baby could be George. It's a good King-y name!!! I suspect the bookies takings are up today.

Thunder very loud here, rain very heavy.

Hi Ann,

You'll be getting excited now for your own special arrival - best wishes.

All grandchildren are special, and it's so exciting and lovely for new grandparents too.

Em ;)

Thank you Gill and everyone. My first grandchild and very special as it was an assisted pregnancy. I'm to be birth partner along with my son-in-law and just at the moment the excitement is tempered with apprehension. She is to have a hypnobirth, which I understand the Duchess of Cambridge was considering. It's not a crazy as it sounds - in fact not much different to the relaxation techniques I was taught in the weekly prenatal sessions at my local GP practice, but these days it's a case of DIY. The NHS only gives one three-hour session before birth nowadays, and most of that is watching a film of a birth and talking about breast feeding. She would be totally ignorant were it not for her research and her Mum, thankfully with paediatric nursing experience, too!
I shall let you all know when s/he (we don't know which) arrives, and thank you again for your good wishes. They are much appreciated.

Brilliant news.

I like the idea of George and have also thought of James (the name of her Brother). If James was chosen I suppose they would have to choose one of Harry's names also

As far as names are concerned I would like to see George and Philip included.

I wonder how many names there will be?

Well, he's been named - it won't please everyone but it's the parents' choice at the end of the day.
Prince Stavros James Wales. Stavros obviously in honour of Phil the Greek and James as a nod to Harry's dad I think.

Funny how the papers who claimed Kate had let slip it was to be a girl have all gone quiet on that story! I think Mervyn John would be a great name for a prince/king! ;)

The happy parents will have to register the birth, obviously - but on the current certificates is there a space for a title?
