Pet Loves

Unread post by Romig1 »

As an antidote to the Pet Hates thread, we need some balance - or people looking in will think we're a set of miserable b***ers!

I'll start with....

Watching the snow fall outside, knowing that I don't need to go out in it.

Aw how sweet - yes I used to hear "love you more than to the moon and back" - but they don't say that as often at teenage years lol.

Knowing that I have three episodes of Scrubs and two episodes of The Big Bang Theory to watch which have Sarah Chalke and Kaley Cuoco in them (respectively)

A very long list but here are a few..

Crystal Palace FC...... as does everyone else....It's just that most don't realise it. They will one day.
Real coal fires....You can still find the odd one usually in old country pubs.
Peanut butter and banana sandwiches.
Coronation Street....Sad I know but I rarely miss an episode.
Country walks...
Holidays...especially cruises...(creep, but someone had to say it)
Indian restuarants...I love a good curry.
John Grisham novels....I've read the lot I think and it is a lot.
Queen....Freddie is the greatest singer ever invented.
Torrential rain and thunder storms.....watching is okay but being outside in one, getting soaking, wet is something else, not near trees though.
Jeffery Archer novels...Like Grisham's, I've read the lot (over and over)
Staring at the sea.... at nothing.
Playing Bingo...on holiday.
Losing me money in the Casino on a ship.

That'll do for now.
Up The Palace

I'm really enjoying reading this thread. Thanks for starting it. :)

Ok, here's mine...
Taste:- Fish finger butties. (Simple comfort food).

Smell:- The intense, sweet, coconut fragrance of yellow gorse flowers.

Sight:- Looking from a ship and all I can see is sea.

Hearing:- The distant rumble of an approching thunderstorm.

Touch:- Being handed my cruise card for the 1st time at the check in desk. Yay! Our long awaited cruise has begun! :D

I love Sundays when I know I have done all my weekend jobs on saturday....cleaning,food shopping, ironing etc. I light wood burner in the kitchen/diner and then "potter". A bit of eBay, come dine with me and my favourite pastime , baking ( and eating it of course) :D

The smell of bacon frying
Bacon butties with brown sauce on
The anticipation of a live football match
Seeing City score
Mountain tops and the solitude of wide, open spaces
Stepping onboard ship for the first time
A pint of ale on a hot day when you are absolutely gasping
Spectacular sunsets
Waking up in a new port and the anticipation of exploring
Deep snow
Queen

................ that's just for starters
I was taught to be cautious
