The Royal variety show

Where do these people come from,we've not heard of some of them and wished we'd never heard of some of the others.at one time there had to be real talent to get near the show but alas that seems to have gone out of the window.
What do you think

I'd heard of them all but fast forwarded most of it, the only act I saw the whole performance of was Torvil & Dean. Sadly the big days of Hollywood glam has gone and we are left with some pretty average 'stars' nowadays.
Was quite good fun seeing the ones involved with tax avoidance, how they have the nerve I just don't know !.

I haven't watched it for years. The last one I did get a glimpse of, several years ago, and again, that was a very long time after the previous viewing, had a ventriloquist act which I thought was very good.

The guy had a "monkey" dummy and got into an argument with it. The dummy "said" "I don't need you any more", so the guy dumped it on a stool, and it naturally flopped over, while he walked off the stage. After a moment, the dummy raised its head, looked around and said "has he gone yet?". Some sort of animatronics, I suppose, but very well done.

I remember the RVS as a child, always in the London Palladium and the closing act was usually the Beatles.

We sat and watched the show and kept saying 'we must be getting old' - hadn't heard of half the acts. The so called comedians didn't make us laugh and the singers were only just bearable but hadn't heard of half of them. Mind you, they all had their latest offerings plugged in the adverts in between.

The best and most talented act on there was Attraction.

We started to watch it, then the presenter opened his gob and that was the end of that.

It wasn't until this thread started that I realised the "show" had even been on!

I only saw a bit of it, but I like the bits from the West End Musicals

I think Harry Hill's new musical based on X Factor will be a complete hoot

We saw quite a bit of it and actually enjoyed what we saw.
