My email

Unread post by Frank Manning »

 In case any members know my email, I should warn you that I have been locked out by BT and no matter what I do I cant get back in. This happens regularly and despite all their help pages I always have to get on the phone to India and they sort it. It may mean that my e mail address was compromised and they have locked me out to stop scammers from using it.

Who knows? The famous THEY seem to make things harder and harder for us ordinary mortals.

There doesn't seem to be much to choose from between any of the telephone suppliers and us mere mortals are always the ones left tearing their hair out

I used to think our supplier was fine ...... until we had a problem, it's a whole different story then !!! funnily enough we are looking to change suppliers at the moment and had thought of going back to BT but after reading recent reviews in the press we are still deciding, having said that none of them seem to come out very well in the reviews

I am happy to say that when I telephoned them, I was put through to Chennai India, and they took me step by step through the process to put it right. So I am back in contact now. It has been a very frustrating 48 hours though.

Strange thing is they only took me through what I had been doing myself, but this time it worked.

15 years ago my email address came with the TV package I had.

At the time of moving home 3 years ago I carried on using it despite having to change TV supplier and receiving a new e mail address.

With having the I phone and I pad I was given a further e mail address, cloud.

I only need 1 address so I am still happy with the original provider.

My only concern is whether any of the fraudulent bank transactions which have occurred have any connection.

We have our phone and broadband through Tesco and I can't fault them. If ever I have had a problem I phone the tech helpline and they sort it out. I really believe that if other helplines were trained by Tesco's then the world would be a happier place :D
