TV advert for SMA
I enjoy funny TV adverts, and more so since my students came up with some funny ideas for them. At present the trials of a Mum with a toddler in the SMA advert when the Mum goes to put her child in the buggy, and catches a whif of soiled nappy is classic. We have all been there, even some Dads - me.
The Meerkats have gone past their sell by date for me.

Re: TV advert for SMA
I wish I knew what they were advertising in the one a few years back when the "husband" returns to the lounge to be told by his plain wife that she and their two friends (she drop dead gorgeous) had just been discussing wife-swapping. The look on his face meant I missed what the product was.Frank Manning wrote:I enjoy funny TV adverts, and more so since my students came up with some funny ideas for them. But what have you to compare them with?Frank Manning wrote:The Meerkats have gone past their sell by date for me.

Re: TV advert for SMA
My favorite was a twist on the fame "stop me a buy one"
How many remember the Walls Ice Cream tricycle prowling the esplanades of sunny sea resorts tinging his loud bell
Cleverly conceived, no pun intended
For Mr Durex advertising . . . .
"Buy me and and stop one"
How clever is that

ah yes, Durex - that well-known brand of Australian sellotape. Very important to know what you're buying

not to be confused the that well known ( well, it was in the 70s) of PVA glue DUFIX.
A friend hollered across an art practical lecture at College,
"Please can someone pass me the Durex"
caused a lot of laughter and a very red face!
