Britannia is hit by an Earthquake

Unread post by ITWA Travel Writer »

This is just a little titbit of news for all you folk with nothing better to do.

As reported in the Il Piccolo and La Nuova;

The P&O ship Britannia at present being fitted out in the yard at Monfalcone was hit by an earthquake at 10:58 local time today.

The earthquake which measured 4.7 in magnitude and occurred at just over 4 km in depth lasted about 10 seconds. Its epicentre was only 50 km from Trieste.

The folk on-board at the time are now on record as being the first to have the earth move under them on-board Britannia!! :oops: :oops:
