Supervet
Anyone else been watching this series on Channel 4?
The dedication and passion that Noel has for animals is second to none and his skill at "mending" broken animals is incredible.
The question that has to be asked though is why are some of these techniques not used on humans?

... however he does not come cheap - and I doubt that many (if any) pet insurance policies will cover his fees.

But I do wonder just how many would/could afford to pay the thousands of pounds that he charges - don't get me wrong in that I think he is "milking" it because I don't believe he is. Last night the spinal operation on the dog was £6.5k and I hate to think how much the foot rebuild cost on the other dog.

Pets can be so special, and a very particular part of many families.
It's horrid to see pets ill treated, and great to see them loved and well cared for. Sometimes pets need treatment which is beyond the means of the owners and that must be a complete nightmare.
We used to have a vet who was gifted, kind and caring, and when I had a very poorly little dog he literally excused himself from a dinner party to dash back to the premises to help our little dog. His dedication was so admirable and completely above and beyond the call of duty.
We lost our little dogs, but we will always remember the tremendous kindness of such a wonderful man. It must be one heck of a job to do - afterall, people can tell a doctor what symptons are etc., but animals can't really. I take my hat off to any vet - they do such a stirling job.
I'm a bit unsure about cloning though. When we lost our little dogs it wasn't really an option, but even if it had been available, I don't think we'd have gone down that route, simply because our relationships with each of our little dogs was unique and I don't think anyone could guarantee to replicate those relationships.
