TwinTec S3 Water Softener

Unread post by Stephen »

Has anyone got a TwinTec S3 Water Softener and what do you think of it.

We just had a quote for one. And although I was pleasantly surprised at the running cost, I nearly had a Sean Connery when I heard how much the unit and fitting was :o

Save your money Stephen and install an outside water butt you can't get much softer water than that

I think ours is Pureflow

As you say, the purchase/installation cost is eye-watering but I'd never go back to limescale everywhere, shampoo not lathering, blah blah.
You'll save on anything soapy, where you only need something like a third to one half of your 'pre-softening' dose and the experts will tell you that your washing machine and dishwasher will last much longer
You'll have to shell out on a good bath/shower mat, as the soft water makes them exceedingly slippy!

Hope that helps

We have a Culligan bought at B & Q. It is the sort that uses salt. The OH put it in himself. Takes up a bit of space in the kitchen cupboard.

No more limescale, lots of lather.

Looks like we are going for it. I've already had the lecture about not needing to use so much soap, shower gel etc etc....

If only you new how much I suffer ;)
