The hair straighteners made me laugh, Jenni. Now, should I put curling brush before husband and son or afterwards.JenniC wrote:In no particular order......

My best friend . . . would be my lovely Polish Dentist, who has a fair portion
of my kiddywinks pot
Very tempted to DIY with my with my rusty nut trench
Toothache is trillion times more painful than given birth in the breach mode

Re: Hey Ho . . . best friends
We dont have best friends so much as regular ones; some new and some old. We meet to play bridge most Friday evenings with a couple who we met at bridge lessons with Frank Deakin on Aurora about three years ago. They are quite a lot younger than us, but we have similar values and we all laugh a lot. We have a friend of Sue's, her former boss, a lovely lady from Thailand and we both think the world of her. Another couple we have known for 46 years, and again lots of laughter every time we meet. You cant beat good friends, some we have met on cruises we would like to see more often, but they live far away, Bob and Jenny, Old Blue Fox, John and Sheila, Peter and Debs, Chris and Terry, Dennis the Menace, Jack Sparrow; loads more. One of the best things about cruises is the nice people you meet.

My best friends are the 2 people I have known since childhood and thankfully we are still in fairly regular contact
I am lucky to have 5 people I can call "good friends" who can be relied on in any given circumstance, not just casual acquaintances or cyber friends or folk we shared a meal or two with on holiday, although I do have a few of those as well

My OH...xxxx
Whilst I adore my kids...they are not what I would call best friends..I think it's quite a different relationship.
I have 4 "old"best friends...since we were all at school and from my first job at 15.
I have met some very special people online...and yes I would class them as best friends now as I have met them in real life too.
Trust them totally.
I have another friend who although we don't see each other often...her and her OH are the ones I would call on in an emergency and she me.

Have you been on a very long cruise, AOTH, just not been well or did you fall out with someone over football or something?
