To post a link

Unread post by Kendhni »

By default you can simply paste a link into a page and it will appear as http://www.google.co.uk/
However you can also use the 'url' tags to make it look like a proper hyperlink such as: click here for google. Which is a bit more firendly

This is done as below

Code: Select all

The url should be pasted after 'url=' and before the ']', then it is followed by your text and finally ''.

This should be the P&O Home Page.

Thanks Ken.

A bit tricky to start with, but I guess it becomes easier with familiarity.

Another tip is that if you click with your mouse wheel then the link opens in a new tab (or right click and select new-tab or new-window).

If you are using a tablet then touch the link and hold your finger there ... a popup should appear asking if you want to open in a new tab or window.

There is a much easier way and I have requested it in D63's extra features Topic.
Keep smiling, it's good for your well being
