I see the Daily Wail has an article on line about how 80% (Of a 200,000 sample I think they indicated) of cruise enthusiasts admitted to 'heightened feelings' ( my polite description) on cruises, and they complained that 70% do not sell condoms and 80% do not have the morning after pill available on board. I immediately thought 'well that explains why there is hardly anyone about after 10.30pm on some cruises'. Then I thought, 'no, Viagra would be more useful on the cruises I recall'. Finally they blow my theories out of the water (no pun intended) by adding that P&O, Princess, and Cunard provide the morning after pill.

I must be missing something here, but it isn't anything the Daily Wail mentioned. A decent cup of tea on board would be a start.

P&O sell condoms in the convenience store. Looking at he last bunch of passengers on Arcadia with an average age of 107, I had my doubts they would have any use for them.

I can only speak for myself but will say (nervously) that mrs barney and I are always a bit 'friendlier' to each other when on holiday.

Probably because we both work full time and it gives us a genuine time to relax and enjoy each others company.

We've even been known to have the odd 'afternoon nap'

All very well. but watch out that the crew dont come along on their window and balcony washing trolley as they did one afternoon in Dubrovnik. ( Hearsay you understand ). Always close the balcony door and draw the curtains is my advice, or if you are on honeymoon, only book an inside cabin.

There was a "survey" published last week that found that one in five cruise passengers had cheated on their parnetrs during a cruise. Clearly I am going on the wrong cruises !

I have one lovely friend, who consistently gets things muddled up - and she told me she was taking her husband on holiday to 'Viagra Falls'. I can't report the rest of the conversation!!!

Isn't there a nudist cruise ship? I would say "bring it on" -but I expect it's more "take if off". I wonder if they tend to sell more sun lotion per passenger on that ship?

While not exactly a nudist ship as such, I read somewhere that the Hapag Lloyd ship 'Europa' has a area set aside for sunbathing au naturelle which is not overlooked by other decks. I have also heard that her radio aerials and radar scanners get very regular examinations.

I cant think of anything worse. We have Studland Beach down here, and it is all pretty....pretty revolting. Nudity is a one to one thing between very very good friends not a public spectacle. I once taught a student who had worked in the commercial department of a well known P&O ship, and the stories she told me about what some of the passengers got up to made me look at them on the subsequent cruises with some amazement.
