Just want to say hello.

I used to post on the P&O forum a few years ago and it's interesting to see some of you posting on here.

Can't remember the username I used on the P&O forum

Haven't noticed Derek the MM . Is he still around ?

We're back into cruising so I thought I would join the forum.

Welcome. allatc and I hope you also enjoy your return to cruising. In the end, I think The Monocled Mutineer just got fed up with all the abuse he received from the ignorant, boorish minority. Shame, as you will possibly recall, he had much more to offer to the forum in his inimitable way than his detractors ever will.

Never mind, there are still a few sensible, intelligent posters left whose posts are worth reading.

Sorry to disagree but I don't believe TMM got fed up with any abuse nor do I think there are any ignorant or boorish people on this forum.

Whilst I don't particularly agree with discussing someone who can't defend themselves ( although TMM is still a member so does have the right to reply if he wishes to ) I will say that if he wanted to be rude and condescending to people then he shouldn't have been surprised when he got a reaction

The moderators on this forum treat everyone equally, everyone is entitled to express their views but what they don't tolerate is any nastiness or abuse, that applies to everyone, there is no favouritism and long may that continue

I'll leave you to decide why he decided this was not the forum for him.
