I think I must be a bit dim, I don't know how to do them!! When I click on one it just comes up with ':oops:' Any help gratefully received!

Yes it does but when you hit ' Submit ' it becomes an :oops: unless you fail to leave a space between the emoticon and the text and then it will display:oops:
