I don't recall anyone mentioning it but then I don't read everything so that doesn't mean much  anyway it was nice to have a trip down Memory Lane and see how it used to be, I'm far to young to remember the old dance halls, nightclubs were coming into their own by the time I was old enough to go clubbing, shame really how some things moved on I know the last time I was in a night club I felt positively ancient  I probably was !!

Dance halls were different, all ages could enjoy them or at least that's how I think of them.

I went a few times in the early 70's in my college days. I remember a little bit about it. I am sure the served booze. There might have been a dance floor as well, I think. Always went with a group. Once on a stag do the bouncers said we could all go in apart from the groom. I think we blagged him in. He was no trouble, went to sleep.

Happy days
