The start of winter
Get your woolly vests out and dust down your thermals.
From Saturday winter begins with an all day high of 4 deg at Maldon towers, and it doesn't get much better going forward into the following week.

Bring it on Stephen, when I get home I've got a few ton of Ash and Oak to burn on my log burner, slippers, glass of wine, pork pie and cheese sat in front of a roaring log fire and now we are retired we don't have to travel if we don't want to.

Ray - point of order. If you are not home, you must still be in France, which means you must be spending an awful lot of time in Macdonalds ?!

Re: The start of winter
Now, you see, if you took my advice and booked a Christmas cruise, you could return in mid January when the nights are getting shorter and not only miss the Christmas bunfight but also the worst of the dark nights. a lot of the trouble is these stupid daylight running lights, they might be on at the front but not the back, people seem to think the car drives itself

Most of the culprits I see seem to be in older cars - and dare I say, driven by older people or women on the school run !
