Common sense prevails

Unread post by Ray Scully »

No more august body than the Royal College of Physicians have deemed that e-cigarettes are at least 95% less harmful than the real thing, and as such should be promoted to those wishing to give up smoking. Our local hostelries have a relaxed view on e-cigs and the use of them hardly causes a stir these days. However there are those pillocks who have the e-cig equivalent to flame thrower and they take delight in spewing out copious amounts of vapour. Hopefully e-cigs will now be regulated and these offensive units banned.

No! he is just putting up a barrier against the NOx, volatile organic compounds, carbon monoxide and various other hazardous air pollutants including benzene spewd out by passing vehicles :)

there is a marked difference between people who use e -cigs and vapes to stop smoking and little boy poseurs who think they look like a soddin dragon, the poseurs used non nicotine, flavoured e liquids and go for the biggest battery they can to generate the most smoke possible

I presume you don't have a car then Ray and that you insist the bus driver turns off his engine when stationary? :sarcasm:

And we think the Chinese factories chuck out alot of smoke, yes I know e-cigs throw vapour, but you get my drift.
I was watching the news this morning and the amount of vapour these things were chucking out was horrendous. I don't care if it is non toxic, I wouldn't want someone puffing all their breathy vapour all over me thanks unless they want a bunch of fives. They should be fitted with a catalyst.

I wonder how many actually use them to kick the habit and how many use them because it is the current trend and don't want to feel out of place with their mates.

50 years ago we thought fags were safe and trendy. Now we know different. I see no point in putting anything unnecessary into my body, even if the risks are low. Other than chocolate, wine, cheese, port, malt whisky obviously.

It will please my niece! Her husband has invested quite a lot of money in Vapes shops around the Chesham, Amersham area.

My eldest son smoked cigarettes much to my disapproval but for the last two years has used e-cigs - very infrequently I might add not being allowed to smoke in work and never in the house in front of the children - I often wonder why he bothered at all but I hope he eventually gives them up too.
