Shopping Promotion codes ----Why?
I have just placed an order with a well known on-line store which also has some shopping centre stores.
Before finalising the order I decided to check if there were any money off promo codes, and found one giving 21% off which duly worked at checkout and gave me a full 21% reduction.
I then got to thinking why do stores do this, since presumably as well as my saving they will also give something to the Promo offer site for their help, thus reducing their profit margin considerably.
Of course I realise that retail clothing does have a huge mark up on the manufacturers price, but what benefit do they obtain, other than a satisfied, if curious customer.
There would appear to be an opening for some entrepreneur to start a sales site that automatically discounted all prices by, say 15%, and made it a selling point in any advertising that they did not use Promo offer sites.

Whenever I am buying online I try to remember to look for "voucher" codes and, like you, have had some good bargains.
One reason for doing it this way is that the supplier is probably willing to give the extra discount to all customers but if they do not do their homework then it is win-win for the supplier. Also most of these offers are only for a short time period and it is probably quicker and easier to use the voucher code sites than to change all their prices.

I got extra money off port parking with Parking4cruises with a voucher.
At checkout, I noticed a voucher box so opened another window to search, and low and behold, a discount voucher number.
I copy and pasted it into the box and it gave me a tenner off the quote.
I got 16 nights for £107 which is nearly £70 cheaper than CPS.
I'll report back on what they were liked after I've used them.
