Passport renewal

My husband sent his passport off for renewal late on Monday afternoon. His old passport was returned in the post early this morning, and amazingly, his new passport was couriered to the house about half an hour later! 4 days must surely be some sort of record.

My daughter had a similar experience through the Glasgow office. So much is done online & then there is just the physical swap & cancelling of the old one. The post office still quotes 3-4 weeks turn round.

....and 3 weeks of that is to reach the front of the queue and the other week to find someone who knows how to deal with your enquiry !
