I wouldn't have said he was a superstar but then I hadn't realised how many records he'd sold. Certainly not in the same league as Rick Parrott

Never a big George Michael fan but very sad to die so young. At least Liz Smith had her three score and ten and then some!

I am a huge George Michael fan, he was a very talented singer songwriter.
Yes it seems he was very troubled, documented by the the press over the years.
Apart from personal/family stuff, going to see him perform in Cardiff over 4 years ago was one of the best days of my life.
The music world has lost a very talented musician.

Really shocked by this - sounds cheesy, but he was the soundtrack of my youth and fair bit beyond. RIP George, gone way too soon.
