England fans in Germany

Unread post by screwy »

I see our wonderful fans have been at it again.. Booing the German National Anthem and singing songs refering to the war.!!!!

Great , no wonder some people have a dislike of us English, I feel ashamed.again !!

Me too. They're an embarrassment we could do without.

I have to plead guilty to the same charge, along with 2000 fellow cruisers on Arcadia back in 2006. The cruise director timed playing the Music Man to perfection on our sailaway party from St Kitts, Arcadia had gone astern and turned through 180 deg. so our stern party sailaway was alongside Aida Blu just as we reached the dam-busters part.
I don't boo the German national anthem though, and TBH I did not hear much booing at the match last week, equally I don't believe the Germans actually dislike us for this or anything else for that matter, after all it is only from a drunken minority of our football fans.

They probably dislike us more for voting to leave them picking up the EU bills in future.
