Personally I think he's spoiling them.

We drove past a park Lodge house this morning and saw the whole Lodge covered in cobwebs with at least a six foot spider on the roof. It did look very affective.

I find covered pits have the same affect though.

Or an elected President. Just look at the joys of that!

Anyway no Trick or Treaters turned up last night so we now have 18 snacksize Chunky KitKats to get through....

Us too. We had a couple of little girls, who were staying with their Grand Parents our neighbours on Monday, but we had nothing more exciting than clementines, so yesterday I bought two big bags of mini Malteser’s - and nobody came! Now they are calling to me from the top shelf of the larder, and given I am on a strict diet, that is torture.

At the risk of sounding like grumps, we simply turn all the lights off, shut the lounge door, watch TV and ignore the knocks.
works every year and is only for a few hours.
I still managed to doze off during Bake Off last night :D

We are in a fairly child-free zone and haven't had any of the little sods darlings round for years

Another quiet year for us. I guess the roll of razor wire will come in useful one day.

You can dismantle the watchtowers now, too, and stand down the armed guards !

A ye olde cottage in the village has gone to town with their Hallowe'en display ... right down to a bunch of cobweb encrusted tombstones on their lawn under one of t' rambling eerie trees with pseudo Spanish Moss hanging of it.

W'HoooooOO

ps ... we thankfully missed all the celebrations and went for a superb Nepalese Curry in Broadstone ( Dorset ) instead.
Keep smiling, it's good for your well being
