Harry and Ms Markle Engagement

Unread post by Stephen »

Copied from BBC news page
The instant Prince Harry and Ms Markle are pronounced "man and wife" she will automatically become Her Royal Highness, Princess Henry of Wales.

:eh:

Could be a bit awkward for Harry on their wedding night :D

Harry will probably get a Dukedom, so Meghan will be styled as the Duchess of where ever. My money is on Sussex

Is it just me, or did she seem a bit over fond of herself in that interview yesterday ?

Well she is American which would explain a lot. Remember she is also an actress, but I put it down to being nervous - after all it is a big change of lifestyle for her going from being fairly anonymous to being one of the most recognisable faces on the planet overnight.

I thought they seemed a very nice, happy couple, very much in love. She’s confident as you’d expect from a high profile actress, but I didn’t feel she came across as arrogant.

I'm glad there is at least one person as well as me who thinks this is wonderful news :D

They make a wonderful couple, may they have a long and happy marriage.

I agree with Gill and Jo. I think they bring a breath of fresh air and I hope they'll be very happy. I didn't think she came over as at all arrogant, I'd have been surprised if she hadn't been confident given her acting background and the amount of times she's appeared before an audience.

I too genuinely wish them well but I fear that Harry has the ' wrecko / mememe / attention seeking ' Princess Diane gene and if that is indeed the case then this is one marriage that simply will not last ... not with both of them needing to be ' Numeral uno '.

I know, sorry and all that

But why did Diana have those tendencies - she should never have married Prince Charles - Camilla is welcome to him  I think (and hope) that Harry has grown up a bit - he is certainly doing some wonderful things with the Invictus Games and has brought mental health issues out into the open with his own experience of it. I thought Meghan was very articulate possibly because of her acting experience but not arrogant at all. I think he and Meghan are genuinely in love and I hope they have a long and happy marriage.
