Unfortunately our politicians tend to be like the ones that die a death on stage, Boris can be amusing it's just that he thinks he is being serious at the time. However it might take the pressure off Donald for a while as the media concentrate on a genuine clown.

I think that shows how politics all around the world is changing. The 'establishment' should be very afraid. I wouldn't be too surprised to see Nigel Farage as leader of the official opposition after the next UK elections. I can see dozens of Tory MPs defecting after they wipe the floor in the EU elections. The only thing that can save the Tories is IF they can squeeze a deal through negating the need, which looks unlikely.

Should the EU parliament elections happen, I predict that Brexit party would walk it. The remain parties will split each others vote whereas the only party advocating leave is the brexit party now that UKIP have shot themselves in the foot. We have conservative, labour, SNP, change UK, libdems and greens all plying for the same minority.
